考试日期 NAATI考试分为笔试和口试两类, 两者都会有每年在澳举行一次的常规考试（只限澳洲境内）. 笔试时间在每年11月，口试时间在每年3月至6月。
根据考生的需要，NAATI也提供随时报考特别考试，考点遍布全国多个国家, （适用于中国考生）但费用高于常规考试。
常规考试的成绩会在12周后寄出成绩。特别考试的成绩则在6－8周后寄出成绩。每项考试，每个考生有3次考试机会。如3次均未通过，则要等3年后才能再考。Every financial year NAATI develops a program of testing to be run for that year. These tests are available only in NAATI’s Australian and New Zealand testing centres. These tests are then run in November for the translation tests and between March and June for Interpreting tests.Special On-Demand Tests are available for candidates who require their accreditation outside the Annual Testing Program or for candidates whose language is not offered in the program. Special On-Demand Tests may be arranged at any time during the year at the mutual convenience of the candidate and the NAATI office.
Candidates applying to sit Special On Demands must sit within 4 weeks of applying for the test. Results are notified some six (6) to eight (8) weeks after the test date. This time may be increased during peak and holiday periods.

Within about three weeks of submitting your form the NAATI office in the State/Territory where you specified to sit the Special On-demand test will contact you to arrange a date, time and location for your test. Confirmation of these details will be sent to you in writing.3. Sit the NAATI test. You must sit the Special On-demand test within four weeks of the initial contact by the NAATI State/Territory office.4. After your test, your paper will be forwarded to NAATI examiner fro marking. A result can be normally expected within six to eight weeks of sitting the test. All tests are marked by at least two examiners who may reside in different states. This is why it takes six to eight weeks to receive results.As soon as NAATI receives the results from the examiners, the results will be posted to you. If you pass, you will be accredited as an interpreter or translator in the language and at the level at which you were tested; if not, you will be automatically be invited to sit a test the next time your language and level are tested within the Annual Program. You may also sit another Special On-demand Test at any time. Each time you sit a NAATI test you will be required to pay the appropriate testing fee.

试卷结构
中文三级翻译考试分笔试和口试. 笔试分为英译中和中译英两个方向。每个方向笔试的时间为2.5个小时加上20分钟阅读时间，翻译两篇250个字的文章。英译中是从3篇文章中选2篇。中译英是从4篇文章（2篇繁体，2篇简体）中选2篇。另外，还有职业道德准则试题。考试满分为100分，其中90分为文章翻译，10分为职业道德准则。考试及格的分数是70分。考试可自带各种字典。从2001年11月起，可以使用电子字典。口试分为对话翻译和连续翻译两部分。对话有两篇，每篇在375－400字左右。连续翻译有两篇：英译中和中译英各一篇，每一篇在300英文字左右。口试采用录音方式，考生将听到的录音翻译成另一语言，并录音在另一台录音机上，供考官评分。考试满分为100分，其中50分为对话翻译，30分为连续翻译，10分为职业道德准则，10分为社会和文化问题。中文口试除了国语（普通话）外，还有广东话，客家话等方言。

评分标准考试通过分数为70分，如不到70分但在65分以上，则可付费要求复审考卷。其中，职业道德部分的分数最低不得低于5分
The general pass mark for Translation and Interpreting tests at the first professional level is 70%. If the mark is less than 70% but higher than 65%, candidates can apply for review.
