崇武古城简介 About Chongwu

崇武地处台湾海峡西岸，是东海与南海的分界线。宗初建巡检寨，明初置千户所，入清已成海疆渔船名镇。全镇面积19.6平方公里，海岸线长28.81公里。辖12个行政村，人口72082人。2005年全镇社会总产值79.9亿元，人均纯收入6725元，上缴税收1.05亿元。
Chongwu, located on the west coast of Taiwan Strait, is the dividing line between the East Chinese Sea and the South Chinese Sea. In the beginning of the Song Dynasty, it was built as a military fortification known as XunJian Zai. And in the beginning of the Ming Dynasty, it was used as the barrack for a troop with 1 000 soldiers to safeguard the city. By the time of the Qing Dynasty it has become a famous town for its military importance and has also become a prosperous fishing town. Covering an area of 19.6 square kilometres and a long coastline of 28.81 kilometers, it has 12 villages whit a population standing at 72 082. In 2005, the GDP and tax revenue were 7.99 billion and 0.105 billion RMB, averaging 6 725 yuan GDP per person.                      

崇武是闽南经济重镇，主动对接并认真落实省、市、县关于建设海峡西岸经济区、建设泉州湾滨海城市和加快县城经济发展的战略构想，做大做强石雕石材业、渔业、旅游服务业三大支柱产业。崇武是“中国石雕之乡”，雕刻作品有三大类数千种产品，是国内最大的石材生产加工基地，全镇有石雕石材企业300多家，远销20个国家和地区，年出口交货值34亿多元。崇武有一级渔港，是福建省十大渔业强镇，2005年全镇完成水产品总量7.5万吨，产值5.37亿元，占整个大农业的95%以上。崇武渔港正在申报国家级渔港。崇武是国家4A级旅游名胜区，山关海色、金滩古城、历史遗址、大海艺术等景点，连同惠女风情这福建五大旅游品牌之一，崇武每年接待中外游客达50多万人次。

Chongwu, the important economic town of south Min, is implementing the idea of "Build Economic Zone on the West Coast of the Strait" and expanding and strengthening its three cornerstone industries of stone carving, fishery and tourism. Chongwu, renowned as the stone carving city and largest stone production base in China, has more than 300 stone producers, three kinds of carving works and thousands of products which are sold far to 20 countries and regions, with an annual exporting value of 3.4 billion RMB. In 2005, total marine products and processed sea food production reached 75 ooo tons, with a market value of 537 million yuan, accounting for 95% of Chongwu's agricultural output value. Chongwu, a four star scenic spot for tourism, and with 500 000 visitors from China and abroad annually, has 5 tourism brands of Fujian such as the mountain pass, ancient city wall, historic ruins and seascape. 
       崇武有着丰富而独特的人文历史，闽越文化、中原文化、屯兵文化和海洋文化相结合，形成了今日崇武荟萃的人文景观。600多年前“三千兵、百家姓、七户氏”的后代，依然传承着崇武英雄的思想情怀，解放军烈士庙以“天下第一奇庙”演绎着一段军民鱼水情的生动故事。“祭海”、“开海门”、“迎亲”等文化释放出渔家奋斗的精神力量和古朴奇特的民间风俗。崇武有“海滨邹鲁”之誉，琴棋书画，名家辈出。如今崇武拥有20多个民间文化艺术团、〈〈崇武文学〉〉丛书和〈〈海韵〉〉诗刊几十年来从未间断，使崇武古镇平添一份厚实的灵气和“钙质”。崇武的科教文工等各项社会事业，也为崇武镇精神文明建设作出了贡献，留下了振奋人心的篇章。
Chongwu boasts of rich and unique culture and hisotry. The combinations of Minyue Culture, Zhongyuan Cuture, Military Garrison Culture and Marine Culture, help give rise to the many Chongwu cultural and historic scenic spots. We, the descendants of "Thousands of soldiers, Hundreds of different-surname household and Seven prominent families", still holds the tradition of honouring our heors.

Our fisherman's ndomitable spirit and primitive unsophicated, as well as unique and peculiar customs are reflected by the ceremony of "receiving the bride", and sacrifice-offering , and sea-gate opening rituals. Chongwu, renowned as A Confucian City by the Sea
  that sees talented people being produced in each generation, has more than 20 folk art groups and magazines such as Chongwu Literature and Sea Charm poet which have been published for several decades. Chongwu's education, culture and sports are all blossoming and contributing to the cultural progress. 
       崇武是科技部确定的“十五”第一批全国星火小城镇示范镇创建单位，福建省“十五”期间二十个重点发展的中心城镇之一。崇武参与组织和举办纪念建城600周年、石文化节、渔区文化节、雕刻大赛、第五届泉州旅游节等大型专题活动，先后被国家有关部门授予“全国文明村镇先进单位”、“中国特产之乡开发先进单位”、“全国计划生育协会先进单位”、“全国群众体育活动先进单位”等荣誉，同时也是荣膺明星镇、小康镇、双拥模范镇、科技示范镇、卫生镇等称号。目前，崇武正在创建国家卫生镇。崇武镇党委连续多年被评为省先进基层党组织.
Chongwu is one of the first batch of demonstration small towns designated by Ministry of Science and Technology and One of the 20 central towns given the priorities to further develop in Fujian Province during the 10th Five-Year plan.  Chongwu held many activities such as City Founded 600 Anniversary, Stone Culture Activities, Fishing Culture Activities, Carving Competition and the Fifth Quanzhou Tourism Festival.
    经过改革开放以来的建设与发展，崇武已从一个海岬边陲小镇变成海峡西岸繁荣带一颗璀灿的明珠。2005年，崇武镇入选“CCTV2005年度中国魅力民风名镇”。
  
Chongwu is one of the first batch of model small towns designated by the Ministry of Science and Technology and one of the 20 central towns given the priority  to  develop further in Fujian Province during the 10th Five-Year plan.  Chongwu held many activities such as the 600th Anniversary Celebration of the Founding of the City, Stone Culture Activities, Fishing Culture Activities, Carving Competition and the Fifth Quanzhou Tourism Festival.
After the reform and opening to the outside world, Chongwu has developed from a village into a thriving town in the west coast of the Taiwan Strait. In 2005, Chongwu was named as
  CCCTV's most charming Chinese folk town of 2005.
